Abstract
Background and Objectives: This study focused on lifting drill rods. Drilling is a repetitive and heavy mining operation with a high incidence and severity of musculoskeletal injuries. The purpose of this study was to examine how to lift a vertical drill bit (1.61m and 35kg in height) using two types of rod height and four feet positions, and finally compare them with the Lifting Index (LI).
Methods: Seven workers participated in this study. Each person raised a rod and held it vertically. Reflective markers were installed on each person, and from three cameras and an Ergo-meter plate for record forces and Movement of the limbs. In this case, four positions of the foot and pressures on the lower back were Investigated (position0=to the rod, position45=diagonally to the rod, position90=right side of the bar and free posture). In addition, two positions of the height of the rod were Investigated, at the first, the end of rod was on the ground (height of the rod was 83 m), and in the following the end of rod was on the Basket with height 20cm (rod height of 1.03 m).
Results: The Lifting Index (LI) for each person was equal to 1.4 in the NIOSH lifting equation. It was found that the vertical height of the rod had the greatest effect at the load on the lower back. Some workers use techniques that endure less pressure on their waist.
Conclusion: Finally, it was found that the asymmetric loading Condition (90 ° angle) was the worst case compared to the Lifting index and NIOSH standard.

Abstract
Background and Objectives: Playgrounds play a very important role in the development of children's communities and their physical skills. If these spaces are designed according to safety standards, they can contribute to the better social and physical growth of children. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety status of children's playground equipment in Hamadan Luna Park according to the standards of the U.S. Consumer product safety commission (CPSC).
Methods: The present study was a descriptive and analytical one. The statistical population included a total of 600 persons, working in one of the regions in the Tehran Municipality. Of the 600 staff, a total of 255 were selected as the available sample group. The instruments consisted of the questionnaires, including the individual and occupational information, the Nordic questionnaire, the Walton Quality of work life, and the checklist of the ergonomic indices of the working environment for the administrative staff. In order to analyze the data, Student’s t-test and multiple regression analysis were used.
Results: The results showed that among the main playground equipments, the spiral slide has the highest ratio of 76.1% and the seesaws with 25% minimum compliance with the CPSC standard. Among the most commonly problems in this field the non-standard design of play equipment, incorrect assembly, installation and placement in use zones can be pointed.
Conclusion: According to this paper’s report, given the undeniable role of the safety of playground equipment in preventing possible harm to children, they must be secured and adapted to global standards.

Abstract
Background and Objectives: During the past times people have used furniture as today. Along with the social welfare development and the importance of manufacturing efficiency, the importance of ergonomics and standardization in furniture became very clear so that, today it is well-known that not considering human factors in furniture manufacturing causes much human health problems. Due to the importance of furniture standardization, the present study was conducted to investigate the use of standards in furniture manufacturing units in Tehran province.
Methods: In this study, cluster sampling was performed and questionnaires were distributed among experienced manufacturers of sixty furniture manufacturing units. Statistical analysis was performed using One sample student t-test and Friedman test in SPSS 18 software.
Results: Results revealed that there was a significant difference between the indices mean and the hypothesized mean of the population. Furniture manufacturers believed that the governmental and nongovernmental institutions have appeared weak on updating furniture standards and making manufacturers familiar with standards. From their point of view, consumers have shown a great trend to buy standard and ergonomic furniture. Manufacturers also have largely tended so much to use standards and national standards conformed by international standards.
Conclusion: The manufacturing of standard furniture increases the consumer interest to buy furniture and it increases the consumer satisfaction. The high quality of imported raw materials makes furniture competitive and it causes coordination with international standards and it can assure the successful export of furniture in Iran. Successful furniture manufacturing will depend on realization of all indices mentioned in the present study.
